Thirteen schools of the 1880 described with pen and ink drawings and careful tellings of what was taught and how the teachers taught. From the cover, "Over One Hundred Illustrations." Illustrators of each chapter were, Miss L. B. Humphrey, Jessie Curtis, mary A Lathbury, and Hermann Faber. Boards have tiny age chips at edges, spine edges are worn, tips are bumped. Picture on cover depicts three children at school work of sewing, hammering, ect. with age darkening.
