Riis, 301 Mulbery Street, New York. July 14, 1899----Gacious! My dear Miss Ben Jussuf, but I didn't believe it was possible. I thought I knew what photography was, but I evidently don't. They certainly are the most marvelous pictures I ever saw and you are the most extraordinary woman who ever looked through a camera at a mortal. I thank you most humbly and sincerely for having taken the trouble to look at me and shall always consider myself in your debt--always. Cordially yours, Jacob A.
