Book is very good in dark brown stiff leather soft covers with gilt spine lettering...front cover lightly creased top to bottom....former owner's name and date, 1929 on front mapped endpaper with bottom 1" corner torn away...this is the 1928 Edition and is Volume 1 only...text is secure to binding throughout and clean...age darkening is light and uniform...276 pages with sharp edges and corners...small clipping of poerm by Richard Armour - "Garden Groan" from Family Weekly dated August 5, 1973 laid in...an exceptional find in this older edition.
